Rather then getting these wheels lips refinished, I think I might just powder coat the whole wheel. It costs $75 a wheel which is cheaper I think then getting the lips refinished. I'm stuck between a black or bronze color but am also open for other opinions. My car is an 05 Lapis Blue Hatch.

Here is a link to the powder coat colors LINK

And here's an image of the wheels (Axis Phins)

Thanks!

I personally like the color you have on the wheels, but I have tungsten/ or dirty gray 6. That wheel color probably won't look great on your Lapis Blue.

I guess it depends on what you want to do...If your looking for lots of attention, I'd powder the wheel blue (relfective, almost Lapis blue) and polish the lip. If your just going clean, have them powdered damn near chrome. Either way, I would make sure that I paint the calipers either blue or red afterwards.

P.S. $75 per wheel, that's pretty good, what does it include?(Sanding, # of coats, clear coats) I'm getting a set of RX8 wheels redone this upcoming summer. I hope to get that price as well!

Thanks for your opinion Cheez. I'm definitely not looking for flashy so that's why I'm prob going the dark color route with either black or a deep bronze.

The $75 includes everything. Fixing the curb rash, removing all the old clear/paint, and then powder coating.

Here's a thread with this guys work. He does good stuff.

Black over bronze. I'd go matte black if your doing the entire wheel. Gloss black if you plan to fix the lip. Most important: Paint those calipers blue. That blue will look great through the black wheels. I personally hate the red calipers on a blue car. Those colors clash and remind me of the American flag (Not that I hate America or anything like that).
