The stock Michelins are completely worn out on our 6 and need to be replaced. I have been researching tires like crazy and I think I've narrowed it down to two choices: Yokohama YK520s (yes, I know these are only sold by Discount Tire) and Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. I am looking for a good all around performance all season tire. My wife is the primary driver of the Mazda and I want something that is still fun for me to drive, but also safe in wet and snowy conditions (we live in MN). Trying to find a good trade off between safety, performance, and treadlife. Wondering what the opinions are of other 6 drivers, especially anyone who has the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S.
One specific question I have, will there be any problems moving from the stock Michelins that have a load index of 93 and a V speed rating to the Exaltos with a load index of 91 and an H speed rating?
Thanks in advance for the help.
