Can someone please help clarify if there is more than one belt tensioner?
They told me I needed the belt tensioner replaced because it was leaking. I was advised this would cost me about $450.00. I reviewed my warranty Manual and according to the power train warranty it shows that part is covered. I’ve been going back in forth with mazda corporate and they told me that the belt tensioner that needs to be replaced is the one by the ac and not the engine so it wouldn’t be covered.

Hello. I believe the 6cyl can have 2 tensioners if it is before 2004. I think the 4cyl only has one. None are fluid filled to my knowledge.
That is one heck of an extended warranty given the last 1st gen rolled off in 2008.
Me thinks you mean 3rd generation? :unsure:
