Alright so here's my case. 2005 Mazda 6i with 122k miles. I decided to change my plugs and plug wires. Purchased the NGK Iridium Lasercut along with the NGK Plug Wires. All plugs are gapped to .054. I got these changed now I am having some stalling issues. I have reset the ecu twice already, the 2nd time seeming to get better. Well, my car is stalling all the time now still. Mainly on start-up and stopping, at no other times does it stall. When starting up, itll run a few seconds, then stall. Leaving the CEL on. Now, when it comes to stalling when coming to a stop, it seems when I come to a slow stop, itll just stall.

What could be wrong or what do you recommend to check? If it makes a difference, I did use a small amount of dielectric grease as instructed. When changing the wires, I changed them 1 at a time insureing the correct wires were in correct places.

Prior to the first reset, my car would idle at about only 500. Now after the second reset, idles at 750 however at times slightly over 500 but rising to 750.

It has been well over a week since the last reset and over 500 miles later. Prior to changing the plugs and wires, my car never did this. Im guessing maybe it has something to do with the ngk plugs or ngk wires... Maybe?

though not common with spark plug change, many times the issue of not being able to hold idle is a vacuum leak. sure you didn't accidentally pull/catch a hose as you were working on things?

still have your old stuff? it's a 10-15min way to see if it's the actual new parts and not something during the install.

I still got the old plug wires, however tossed the plugs, they was pretty much toast. now that you mentioned about a hose, come to think of it, there is one in which i thought strangely is loose/not fitting properly. I'll check it out here soon. Thanks for the suggestions.....

Ok, just went out and checked. The hose that has "play" that you can move back and forth is the hose coming from the airbox to the top backside of the engine. This hose seems "loose"/ability to move back and forth. I tried moving the other end, it does not do the same. (Best way to describe it, is You got the airbox with the big round short air flow tube ,whatever you want to call it. Off that, theres a white plastic piece that a hose connects to. Thats the end of the hose that moves back and forth on the white plastic portion.)

Great news all. I had reset my ecu a 3rd time. Now there is warmer weather as well and it has not stalled since and has suddenly seemed to fix itself. It was in the teens when all this was occuring, maybe had something to do with gas lines being cold?? Not sure, all i know is the problem is fixed. And I did check the vac lines with some spray, nothing to be found.
