So i'm having my alternator rebuilt and while i was taking it out i dropped it behind the motor before i got the 2 wire plug out of it. the wires pulled out of the connector and now i dont know which wire goes in what side. i can repair the connector easily if i had this info. can any of you please go look at your alternator connector and tell me which wire goes in what side of the connector. its a 2004 6i hatchback with a M/T. google has failed me here.

ok, so the shop that's rebuilding my alternator says there's nothing wrong with it at all. the car was ran through some water on the road and the charging light came on. after that, the car died. i checked the fuses and they all look good both under the hood and in the cabin. is there anywhere else that i need to look?

well, since this forum appears completely useless for anything beyond what color HID lights, what springs to get, or mufflers to buy (silly ricers)

In case anyone else stumbles in here look for an answer the yellow/red wire goes on top (toward the hood) and the green wire goes on the bottom of the connector as if it were plugged into the alternator.
