Thought I'd share with everyone the sheer usefulness that the Mazda6 hatchback has provided me and my family since we bought her back in Dec '04.

A lady by day and a *beeeep* by night, is how I like to describe this car. :)

Installed a hitch-mounted bike carrier a while back... a must-have in a bike-riding family:

The bikes stay quite far out from the car. No issues at all as far as bikes scratching the car is concerned:

The hatch opens easily with bikes in place... look at all the space!! BTW, that's the kids' bike trailer:

The stars of the show... "the kids":

Can't believe she fell asleep on such an interesting, scenic and not to mention, bumpy ride:

... that's all folks.

Why certainly atom44wat...

The set-up is a standard class 1 towing hitch (by HiddenHitch) with a 1.25" receiver and with a Swagman two-bike carrier attached.
