My dealer was performing the PCM/TCM reprogramming for the MSP10 recall, and they said that the control module wasn't responding: they managed to wipe out the previous flash, but couldn't "upload" the most current flash. They're saying I'll need a new control module. The car is currently undriveable. :(

My questions are the following:
1. Does the MAFci "black box" interfere with the update process?
2. If a new control module needs to be put in, does that mean I'll have to revert to stock (unplug blackbox, install old airbox, etc.) and then reinstall the blackbox?

Thoughts and suggestions anyone?
