what you all think about those headers and y pipe. are they a good fit, cuz they are considerably cheaper than cp-e's. i know cp-e would be the best, however i'm just looking at these to accomadate in my turbo build.

just did some searching and reading, but if anyone wants to post anyway, and give some input on these in specific, that'd be great too.

Crappy relatively speaking to what? Every single header set released for the 3.0l v6 has had problems. Show me a set of headers that did not cause anyone problems at all and I will apologize.

MSDS headers were bashed by so many who never owned them that their reputation was destroyed. I did own a set, actually the first set. I am not going to repeat my comments as I have done so on multiple occasions in the past. If you have searched, you probably have located comments by myself and the other few people who have actually owned the headers.

Point is, when you get to the level of adding headers to this car, expect some hassles and inconveniences, no matter which set you order.

My feelings concerning their product is based on Gcubed's experience, which was bad, both in terms of the product itself and the service he received after his purchase.

I didn't think Scott purchased MSDS headers. I thought he only purchased the ones from the company that went out of business. However, that was a long time ago so I could be wrong.

While I am neutral towards the company, as a point of clarification, Draxas did not make the headers. Draxas only sold the headers much like RPM just sells CPE products.

715 vs what? 1500ish for the cpe with y pipe. If there is problems with the msds im suer they can be fixed for less then the 700 you save getting them over the cpe. From what ive read the cpe has their share of problems also.

MSDS headers are not equal length and are not including the y-pipe, so they aren't that much cheaper than CPE when all is said and done

I have the CPE headers and initially had a CEL, sent the Y-pipe in for the fix and since the fix, the CEL has gone away! As has been stated previously, most of us have encountered some type of problems with the headers, but we atleast had CPE to get Kooks to do the fix and they continue to work with the members who are having problems.

Actually they do include the y pipe. They are a shortie header. I love them to death. Like dave said all headers have had problems. In my case a check engine light every now and then. Other than that no problems.

so the question is, Does draxas actually still carry them, or are they just listed on their site stil?
