I have been doing some research on the MazdaSpeed 3. I found it interesting that the computer was dumbed down (torque management) to allow you only 72-77% of usable torque in first gear. In second gear you get about 77-79% and in thrid gear you get 100%. Is it not a no brainer that your VERY FIRST MOD to this fine auto should be smaller 17 inch rims to replace out the stock 18's??? Do you agree??? Comments???

Even with the torque management, the mag reviewers were having a hard time launching it without wheelspin. I don't know if 17s would really help that much. It might make it even harder to get a good launch and increase torque steer.

stick on some heavier 19's so it wouldn't rev so it wouldnt wheel spin so much.. or just, you're probably gonna have to launch like the regular 6 at about 2.6-2.9K RPM's
