I have the 2008 Mazda 6 i sport sedan, and I was wanting to know wether or not i should lower it for a high-end import look, or just get a body kit to make it look like its lowered and new rims. The reason I ask is because i'm deathly afraid of destroying my car or ripping out the transmission if i hit a speed bump or something if it's lowered, alot of people have been telling me it's a bad idea. So i'm comming to you guys for help. Thanks in advance. I want to do something like this with it, but my car is the tungsten grey metallic version. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.body-kitz.com/contents/media/03_6_veilside_rb.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.body-kitz.com/contents/en-us/d275.html&usg=__nO9aUXX3wv2qfiKK8qopQHXR0UI=&h=300&w=430&sz=42&hl=en&start=240&sig2=jh7W-1cB-3QSwro-uth_xA&tbnid=U2my2S_8IfDuvM:&tbnh=153&tbnw=220&ei=U3FeTJX3NcT58AaP4KG2DQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmazda%2B6%2Bbody%2Bkit%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D832%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C8436&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=376&vpy=463&dur=3699&hovh=187&hovw=269&tx=129&ty=113&oei=nHBeTOrGA4SdlgfF_LCKCQ&esq=13&page=13&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:240&biw=1280&bih=832

No I think you would be fine with lowering it as long as you don't slam it. I'm curently dropped on MS springs and havn't had a problem with it. Just as long as you aren't an idiot and dont go 25mph over a speed bump in a parking lot you should be fine. Suspension > body kit
I just don't want to mess the car up, i have to pay on it for 5 years. So how low should I go?
for daily use no more than 2 inches IMO
Thats prob right around 2 inches (looks like the eibach kit) however he has an aftermarket front lip on there, makes the front of the car a lot lower than it would be. As far as mods it's just struts and springs

This is a guide for installing new suspension set-up, it's geared towards the D2 coilovers, but I followed this when i put my bilsteins and MS springs in:
Mazda6Tech - How to Install Shocks / Springs / Coilovers

I don't have any pics of my car with the drop but I can run out and take a quick one if you want to see. If you just spend some time reading the suspension forum area you can learn a lot and get some good ideas as to what setup might work best for you.
hahaha ok if man you seem pretty nervous about this so to make it simple, you can just get the RB springs (you wont need to buy struts). However they only drop it .75 inches. I see that you are new to the forums, there are plenty of good threads with info *and pics* so that you can make your own decisions on what you want to do to the car. If you don't want to screw it up then you can have a shop install everything. Use the search function and read all the sticky posts.
