I have a P0303, misfire cylinder 3.

Who - 2006 Speed6 manual, with 80,000 miles
What - P0303, however I cannot feel the misfire
When - Upon receipt of car, and re-appeared with 50 miles of clearing code

I am going to swap the plug to cylinder 2 and the coil to cylinder 4 to see if it is one of those. I also have access to a fairly comprehensive OBD2 scanner, loaded with the mazda specific software - Is there a way I can use this to help diagnose the misfire?

Many Thanks,

Jack

You very likely have a coil failing. Replace them all, if one is going the rest are right behind it.

If you have a good scan tool it should have the option to display current misfires. You may not feel it, but it is very likely there.

As an update, the misfire came back on the same cyclinder, so I'm assuming my plugs and coil packs are good.

Compression / injectors next?
