I need to replace the passenger side mirror. Kool-Vue sells OE replacements, but they appear to come in different types. The electrical plug is either a 3 prong or 5 prong. Since the mirror is broken off, the wire are exposed and I see 4 wires.

Its a straight vanilla Mazda 6i with power mirrors. I don't have anything special on it I'm aware of. Anyone know whicih mirror it is?

i was just on Auto Parts Wharehouse web site and it looks like if you have a textured mirror (dimply black plastic) its 5 prong, and if its a un painted mirror ( i'm assuming a paint to match replacement/smooth plastic) its a three prong. check yours.
I also looked up a 2005 6i, i'm not sure what year yours is. Aother suggestion is call youre local mazda parts dept at the dealer with your VIN# and just ask them if you have heated of non heated mirrors. that looks like the only two diff. wire related. There may also be a little pic of a heated thing on the mirror glass.
