I have noticed in my car over the past month that my normal operating temperature is much lower than usual and I can never get the fans to blow hot air, it only blows mildly warm air. I have a scan gauge and a the max tempurature i get to is about 162 whereas before it was about 186. Has anyone else had this issue? If so was it your thermostat opening too early or something? I thought about just popping it out and testing it in water but it looks like its a pita to get out. Thanks for any help!

not as simple as other cars, but doable. it does sound like you might be having an issue with the thermostat though, why not have Mazda address the issue? not sure where you are in warranty and whatnot, but since it's an assembly on our engine, not just a t-stat, it's the first place i'd ask if i had warranty.

...you can order the parts needed to do the swap though
