Finally after about a year after getting the Mazda, my lovely girlfriend  purchased me some rims after listening to me complain since i got the car.

Went with the ever popular and possibly over played ( regardless they look effing hot) Falken Torque 5's 18x7 +42, wrapped in some Falken 452s 225/45R18. They Rub in the rear when hitting dips, getting them rolled this friday. ;)

5Zigen Gravis-1's 18x 7.5" +43 offset with Falken 452's 225/45/18. Definitely rubbed, which a roll easily resolved. Lowering with RPM springs next month...

I used to have these on my Talon, now just sit in the back yard. Thought I would try them out.
I like them but width + offset + tire size = rubbing even with fenders rolled.

Two sets (three, actually) of 17"s, no brand, made in China, offset 52mm, cheap, reasonably well made but not exactly state-of-the-art. Two sets of Kumho 712: 215/50R17 (the highway travel set) and 225/45ZR17 (the fun set), exchanged between the two cars as I please.
PM me for opinions.

Car Model: 2006 Mazdaspeed6 GT
Wheel Brand/Model: Rota D2
Wheel Size and offset: 18x8 +48
Tire Brand/Model/Size: Continental Contisport2 225/40R18
Suspension Brand/Model: Megan Racing Lowering Springs
Fenders rolled?: YES
Rubbing?: not any more -- May need fenders pulled but we'll see how my latest rolling attempt fairs.
Brakes?: This rims won't fit over speed6 brakes without grinding them down. They are not recommended...I got a deal and made them fit. Nuff said.

Some rubbing. Should be eliminated once fenders are rolled

MB Motoring "Drifter" 18x8 with a 45 offset.
Made by Liquid Metal and sold by Discount Tire Co.

Things I like about them: No heavier than the stockers, clear coated lip, exact fit bolt hole pattern, and easier to clean and price.

Things I don't: The paint is not as chip resistant as I would like to guard against road debris.

At only $145 dollars each they are quite affordable as compared to most that offer the same style and exact fit bolt pattern.

Light rubbing in the rear...next up? a Speed6 style lip spoiler, and maybe a little drop...
