MEGASQUIRT

Megasquirts are great units. The MX6/Probe crowd used them all the time with great success. Would be nice if more people were into this stuff so they could master it and offer tunes for different mods. But most Mazda 6 people just sit back and whine about how there is nothing out there instead of using what is. I can't tell you how many PM's I get about the Unichip. I want to f**king choke the hell out of anyone who asks anymore. They never follow up and use the damn thing after all is said and done.

You and about 40 other people. I know who asked. Good luck with the Megasquirt though. I wouldn't post a drop of info until you have it on the car working, with dyno's and are ready to sell it for profit. These dogs want every detail imaginable right up front. I personally like seeing progress on projects, but that doesn't fly around here without someone bitching about whether or not it works.

LOL I was talken bout the other guy saying he wasnt giving info out...

This whole damn place is made for us to share info, and for someone to say that they arnt giving info out is rude as hell... I would tell em to shut up or put up, cuz they will probably ask a question one day too.

And so far, the only piece of information I need to give him so that he doesn't have to put any time into my car prior to installation is what tooth on the 36-1 crank wheel is under the VR sensor when the engine is at Top Dead Center.

can you not see the crank pulley on the V6? that info wouldn't be listed really like that

I suppose if you had alot of time you could turn the car to TDC then take apart enough engine to see the gear, and count it up... There is probably a stamped mark on the gear indicating 1... Other than that, it might be listed in one of the work manuals. A few people on here have them, but they dont share much info.

it took a couple months to find the wave form for the microtech system, and that was done by someone driving to the shop, as no one had a manual. someone in florida should stop by and help the guy out.

I have seen club members talk about having manuals before... Not sure if they had manuals that would have the info needed, but they are out there...

a few members "had access" to manuals online for quite some time. Mazda has since restructured their service site, hence cutting a lot of us from previous info. there are a couple old members with books, but there are not heard from anymore.

there's quite a few FL guys, why not just stop by?

We need more asian guys on here man... If we had more asians every member would have a full copy of every manual ever produced.

I mean this as no insult, quite the opposite, they are smart and resourceful people. When I was in college I had a few friends who could get all kinds of good info... HEHE
