I have an 04 6s ATX and my shift knob is getting all beat up. So I went looking on ebay to see if there were any and I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1

Does anyone know if this will screw on correctly and work on my car? I know it's a standard shift knob, but I like the CF look to it and it will go nice with the CF parts I have on my interior. I asked the guy selling it if it would fit but all he knew was that it has a 10mm self tapping thread.

Any help would be great, Thanks.

IIRC the ATX is 8MM, but I could be wrong, but to give you an answer, nope on the fitment to my knowledge. I was looking into something similar but ended up doing the ATX shift boot mod. Now the car washes think I have a manual, they leave my car in neutral now! LOL

For the shifter, nothing fits the ATX rod except for Fordman's (IIRC) "T" shift knob, which is not really the look I was looking for. Everything else goes on the ATX with fastening screws like the ones you see at PEP Boys or Autozone. I can link some of my pics if you'd like, but if you want, just click my signature to the Yellow Submarine, and it'll take you to the pics. Good luck!
