Notice: RobertD has been VERY busy with work lately and therefore unable to fulfill requests.

Stickers are still available through a 3rd party. Please see this post for more details: https://forum.mazda6club.com/mazda6-atenza/438594-mazda6club-com-decals-2019-a-3.html#post5043846 - Byakuya

Hi. I thank you guys for your patience in letting me start this project when i was ready.

i would like to start making and shipping decals for the forum.

i made this design for my car:

i'm 38 and wanted something mature and subtle, so i made that to look OEM-ish and i made it in etch glass vinyl.

i see there are a few designs floating around the forum. i'm interested to know what you all want, design wise. if you see a picture of a design on here you like, show me and i can redraw it. if you want to make your own from scratch, inkscape is a free program that will allow you to design them yourself. i can also provide the files i have so you may modify them to your liking.

---------------------
Pricing/Options:
  • Colors/Material: I have a plethora of different colors of vinyl on hand. i have solid colors, metallic colors, i can print colors, i have an anthracite carbon fiber. white shows up best on glass. if you don't have tinted windows, i can also cut in reverse so you can apply them inside. if you want reflective, i recommend keeping it on glass. reflective vinyl is a nightmare to remove from paint. i can also print colors, fades, pictures, etc.. i can even stick them on magnetic material if you want something removable. my goal is to have you all end up with exactly what you want.
  • Pricing: $10 per order. for that i will pay shipping(in the US), and send you extras, and can even send a couple sizes if you'd like. this isn't to make me money, more as a thank you because i joined the forum for mazda 6 help and advice.
  • Sizing :i need help with sizing. i have a 2004 6s. any car besides that, i'll need a little guidance. you can send a picture of where you want it and i can scale it on screen and show you a rendering.
---------------------

so please let me know what you all want, and we'll get these going.

this is my new toy. a brand new roland truevis SG540 which prints and cuts. i also purchased a cold laminator to go along with it. soon after i purchased it, they told me my shop was too dusty, the floor wasn't level, the temperature needed top be constant, the humidity controlled, and i couldn't have a breeze. my shop is an old dusty drafty non insulated concrete block building where i work and make signs, so i built it a clean room in my basement(althoiugh i do have a couple vinyl sutters at my shop). i kick out the best quality you'll find anywhere because i'm passionate about what i do. no cricut quality etsy stuff coming from me.

lets do this. -robert

Looks great and thank you so much! Only thing I quickly changed was making the pricing/options stand out a little more.

Site-wide announcement has been made!

Definitely want a set for left and right rear quarter windows like the one pictured! Subtle decals on glass have always been the only decal I would ever consider placing on a vehicle. I have tinted windows, so something like the anthracite or even a metallic or matte black to contrast the glossy black windows would be perfect. Thanks for doing this!

Also, if I placed an order for a few, would you consider doing a similar sized decal if I provided a template (at additional cost of course)?

That's very cool of you for doing this! Working at a sign shop for 10 years really burnt me out on vinyl (and I've personally never been a fan of decals anyhow) but I know for a fact plenty of folks around here will be very appreciative of your services!

Anybody heard from this guy lately? I sent him a decal request back on 1/24, we conversed about the design and paid same day. He immediately replied he could get them in the mail the next day.

I PM'd him Saturday, 2/2 and yesterday, 2/5 inquiring when he expected to drop them in the mail as even 1st class mail would have arrived by now. Have not heard a word, but I see he's been on the board.

I mean, I'm not too bent of out shape over $10, but a little communication would be nice.

Same. I just figure something's come up. Life happens and online presences suffer first in my experience. :)

@dasrider, @MazdaMetalhead, and @Kalalicious

I've been in contact with him after receiving some PMs.

He's still around, but absolutely swamped with his business and hasn't been able to hop on here as often as he'd like. He's not abandoning anyone and knows he's got orders to fill and replies to send. Please be patient as he's doing this more as charity than anything :)

Appreciate the update Byakuya - more or less what I figured. :) When you invest in that kind of equipment, it's a good problem to have to be that busy!
