My old 626 -99 has a 1500 km (almost 1000 miles) service intervals. Anyone knows what service interval there is for the 6?

Are you sure you don't have one 0 missing from these figures. Otherwise it seems like you only drive your car to the service and back all the time ;).

LOL.... You are of course absolutely right. I must have been drunk or something... No, actually, in Sweden we use the unit "mil" to present distance when speaking. One "mil" is 10 km. But in english one "mile" is 1.6 km, which is the reason why I used km as unit instead. Just forgot that last zero...

Gosh, 1500 km aint much... :sarc

I got an excel sheet from my dealer indicating service check-up every 20,000 km

The table shows:

after 20,000 km:
Oil filter,
Engine oil,
Labour work,
Total ~64$

after 40,000 km:
Oil filter,
Engine oil,
Labour work,
liquid for the brakes,
Total ~90$

after 60,000 km:
Oil filter,
Engine oil,
Air filter,
Labour work,
Total ~105$

after 80,000 km:
Oil filter,
Engine oil,
Labour work,
liquid for the brakes,
Total ~90$

after 100,000 km:
Oil filter,
Engine oil,
Labour work,
Total ~66$

after 120,000 km:
Oil filter,
Air filter,
Fuel filter,
Timing-belt,
Transsmition oil,
Cooling liquid,
Engine oil,
Spark plugs,
Liquid for the brakes,
Labour work,
Total ~313$

TOTAL AFTER 120K km - ~730$

-----
a separate table shows:

interrior filter must be changed every 20,000km - ~82$
front brake pads - ~142$
front brake pads replacement labour work - ~7,4$
rear brake pads - ~80$
rear brake pads replacement labour work - ~20$


Engine oil - VALVOLINE

Thats for the Mazda6 2.3 GT sedan

Add this to the trivial pursuit, even I didn't know that you have such measurements used in Sweden... All the things you learn when you grow old. ;)

So, when is the FIRST service interval scheduled? After 1000 km, 2500 km 20000 km??? Does anyone know?

In Sweden we have a free 1000 km service. Just for tightening the bolts :D

I will have the oil change also, even if it's not free. I want to fill 'er up with some descent Quaker State...:D

My dealer told me not to wait until 20'000km since I drive mostly
in city and therefore spend more engine-hours on certain milage.
Maybe it's bullshit but I'm gonna make my first service at about 18'000km (less than 8'000km left). It's gonna be costly. Dealer told that the first service is going to
cost me more than $200.

Sounds a little expensive. In here the first (20 000 km) service costs less than $140.
