for all you 6 owners that are interested in a international meet in niagara falls canada, here you go.

QUOTE
Okay everybody....here it is!

I will be hosting the 1st International Meet on behalf of the crew community. In addition, I will be extending the invitation to the Toronto Mazda6 forum with the hopes to get a bunch of those guys out as well.

The official location has been set as NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO, CANADA. Not only are the falls absolutely beautiful, there is an almost unimaginable number of things to do (clubs/bars, casino, haunted houses, amusement rides, restaurants galore, novelty shops, adult entertainment, movie theaters, animal kingdoms, museums [ripley's believe it or not, wax museum], bowling and other entertainment, etc.), which all happen to be within walking distance of the falls. For those that have been, it's a truly breathtaking experience and for those who haven't...well...why the heck haven't you been yet?!?!?!

No date has officially been set. However, I am proposing that the meet be held either this fall or spring of 2010 in hopes to avoid the dreaded months that make up the Canadian winter. I have arbitrarily selected dates from within this time period and included them in the poll at the top of the page. EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO ATTEND NEEDS TO VOTE! Those that complain about the selected date and who haven't voted will be given no simpathy. This poll will be kept open for 1 week so that I can select a date asap. That way, if the meet ends up happening this fall adequate time for planning and preparation can still be allotted.

Please keep in mind that since June 1st, 2009 a passport is required to cross the border. If you do not yet have one (or it has expired), you will need to remedy this situation asap.

I HOPE YOU GUYS ARE READY FOR ANOTHER INCREDIBLE MEET![/b]

as of right now, it looks like we are deciding on the last weekend of september/ first week of october of 2009 (lol this year)

Please pm me for info due to reason of not being able to link certain forums on here. thank you!

Also anyone that wants to go hiking one of the days, me and my buddy chris from another 6 forum will be heading down to the niagara falls gorge for a day of hiking. If you are someone that plans on looking at the falls while you are there, I highly recommend to check out the gorge instead.

At the gorge, you will see the highest class of rapids out there, you will be able to go feet from them and have one hell of an experience.

Disclaimer for hiking:

Chris nor I will be a registered or licensed tour guide for the gorge, so all the hiking that is going on, is a hike at your own risk adventure. please understand that anything that happens to you while down there is at your own risk and we are not responsible.

There are accidents that happen down there, people to die/fall in! Just please be aware at all times when you are down there

you can bring drinks, food, munchies....etc. we are planning to be down there most of the day.

link to hiking trip.

Please pm me for info, due to not being allowed to link a certain forum.

Free bump!

I'm working on getting some free time to attend this event, and even if I can't make it, there's NO reason why anyone within a days drive can't at least try to make it. Niagara Falls isn't just the falls, there's plenty to do, including and especially at night.

canadian side is full of everything, food, bars, clubs, marine land, falls, haunted houses, ripleys believe it or not, wax famous people, arcade for adults at boston pizza, a indoor water park......etc. there is a shit tone to do at the falls.

like stated, anyone else that is planning to take a day to check out the falls, i highly suggest to pm me about hiking details, ill make a thread just for it on here as I have on other threads, to give you an idea of what its like down in the gorge, but all i can say is highest class of rapids and you can be feet away from them. unreal to see!

well guess this was a major fail on a mazda 6 forum. any reasons why this has not sparked any interest on here at all? are most of the people on this forum from a different area that they are not within driving distance. sorta sad!

again, getting very disappointed with the way this forum has been. no one on here is at all posting interest or anything, other than those who said they were in before this thread was even created.

come on.

BUMP!

I'm very disappointed at the lack of interest that this meet generated on this forum. There are 6 owners traveling upwards of 15 hours across the US to come to this....so don't tell me that it's unreasonable. I also drove 9.5 hours down to July's National Meet in Indianapolis so I know exactly what it's like.

I'll tell you right now that anybody who doesn't show up is going to miss out BIG TIME on the 2nd biggest meet of the year! Sucks to be you...

Anybody who suddenly gets some sense knocked into them...the meet starts TODAY in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and ends late Sunday afternoon. Cheers.

P.S. You'll need a US passport to cross the border.

You know I would have made the drive if I could.

You all missed out- National was awesome, and this would have been, too.
