However, say someone calls you and asks you where you were, do you say, "I don't know, but I can tell you a street ahead in a min"?

or ..... I like this one "I am driving down a road adjacent to xxxxxxxx".

I would have thought that everyone would want to know where they were at all times, but it seems I may be wrong.

Funny that it happened to me. I might be the only driver with no sense of direction.

Update, sorry found it

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help - I'm unfortunately on the v29 update (2014 Mazda 3), so I'm looking for the ADR 31 update, before going up to 70.

I haven't been able to find the 31 software in the Outdated Firmware, or 4A N folders in the HiDrive link. Would anyone know where I could get a copy?

Hey all, I appreciate all the work that has gone into this—this is such a valuable resource. Thank you!

I just wanted to see if anyone can confirm that I will be able to install the USB cable and hub to my car with the existing firmware. There are so many warnings about bricking the CMU and other issues, I would just like to be very sure. I haven't completely deciphered exactly what the firmware versions mean, and I'm unsure if this one includes AA/CP.

I'm using 74.00.230 NA N.

When I google the OS version number nothing comes up at all. I just bought the car (a 2016), and the dealer just updated the OS, so it's definitely current.

Thanks!

Just install the NA N 31.00.100A as it is temporary, I thought I put it in H-Drive Server.

Hi,
Reason 74.00.230A does not come up in google as it has only recently been released to Mazda Dealer in USA/CAN/NA to use, so you have the very latest, you will not brick anything. all you have to do now is install the CP/AA Kit of updated AUX Hub and Cables. then CP/AA will work., thanks,

NA N 74.00.230A_update.up is now available in Server see page 1.
YES THIS IS THE NEXT OFFICIAL UPDATE FROM 70.00.367.
This is also the Genuine Mazda Carplay Wireless Firmware, But you MUST have the new Wireless CMU for it to Activate wireless feature.
Size of NA N 74 is about 923MB (checksum is listed)

No I have no Changelog, yet.

No I have no EU N or 4A N (ADR) 74.00.230A..yet.

does not make sense, if you put BOTH FILES ON ONE USB it should say so, you should install failsafe then reinstall one after each other, try again, or do a factory reset, see settings, about.
You definitely did something wrong, lucky you did not brick CMU.

edit
Note your second Pic shows TEST SCREEN image behind.
DID you still have Flash Drive in USB?
99 enter SEARCH (see page 4 of PDF install instructions.
it should show what is on flash drive, 2 files plus existing, select reinstall..

if you cant see there , did you CHECKSUM hash check file, maybe download again.

Hello ASH8,

Thank you for your informative post. Clearly explained the every single step in both upgrading the software and parts installation.

I tried to download the cmu150_ADR_70.00.335C for my wife's Mazda 6 in Australia. Unfortunately, there seems to be a issue with HiDrive. With the message "the An error occurred whilst loading /Mazda_Firmware", I am unable to access the firmware anymore. Is there any chance the link can be fixed? Thank you in advance.
Hello ,I’m from Egypt and I’m ADR too , I was curious if you managed to buy the part My Mazda software is ADR and it’s stated that the part number should be C924-V6-605 , all I can find online is the NA version C922-V6-605A , or is it the same ?

IF you read the instructions I said there is no real difference, the cables are coloured at either ends and can only FIT one way.
Different parts numbers for different reasons, mainly EU has a different 'specifications EU/FCC.EC' label and requirements and I think two separate suppliers, but they are ALL Distributed by and MMC Japan....either EU or US cables will fit and work.
EU has a different 'insulation' around cables, both types are Genuine Mazda Part and Part Numbers if it has the blue Mazda Part Number label on them.

If you live in USA, you can ONLY order USA Mazda Part Number, they do not stock EU Cable, and the same applies in Europe, they do not sell the US Part Numbered Cables, Both are Genuine Mazda Parts and Part Numbers....have I explained enough :)

I Australia and most of Asia they use the EU Mazda Part Number.

AUX Hubs are all the same P/N....MUST HAVE THE 'C" on the end of p/n.
Hey thank you very much , just to confirm I own a 2016 Mazda from Egypt and my software is ADR , and I can’t find part number C924-V6-605 (which is the correct one for me) anywhere , so I’m ordering it online and I’m getting the C922-V6-605A which is the NA one , before installing the hardware , shall I update my software using the files for my region (ADR) or the software of (NA) as I’m using parts of NA ?
thank you so much in advance

As your 2016 has ADR (4A N) , then YES you install 70's firmware for ADR......FIRST... and use it..

THEN when you get the parts you install the 3 parts.
Next must install new AUX HUB, and 2 Cables.

Does not matter either the C922 or C924 cable set of two will work.

I have a 2016 Mazda6 with firmware level 51.00.300. I have looked at GENUINE Mazda CarPlay+AndroidAuto+WCP INSTALL... . On the HiDrive in Mazda CONNECT Firmware/NA N/NA N Current Firmware folder is a folder named NA N 74.00.230A Latest. In that folder is an .up to take the version to NA N 74.00.230A. However there are no intermediate updates yet the FIRMWARE ALERT-MUST READ.txt file says I must go to level 70.00.100A and then to 70.00.367A and no mention of 74.00.230A. Is this old doc?

Looking at folder NA N With 31.00.100A or Newer I find folder NA N 70.00.100A which has two .up files for 70.00.100A where the FIRMWARE ALERT-MUST READ.txt file says to first do the 70.00.100A and then 70.00.367A but I don’t see an .up file for 70.00.367A.

So can I go directly from 51.00.300 to 74.00.230A? Thank you.

I found 70.00.367A in z Develop Firmware/Outdated Firmware/ NA N/ so it looks like I will be doing the incremental steps to get to 74.00.230A.
WHY would you be installing outdated Firmware?
I have updated FIRMWARE ALERT.

AS YOU are on very old 51.00.xxxx FIRMWARE then as ALERTS says, READ 1 then 2 then 3.
1 does NOT apply to you as you are above 30.xx.xxxx
But 2 and 3 does Apply as you are BELOW 59.00.xxxx
2. So you must install 70.00.100A NA N Failsafe FIRST then at same time 70.00.100A NA N Reinstall last.
Run it, shut down.
3. INSTALL 74.00.230A NA N (NA means North America) ( One File ONLY)
The end.

WHY would be installing outdated Firmware? Because that is what the doc said to do in NA N With 74.00.230A Latest. I normally wouldn't look in a folder named Outdated but the doc said to go to 70.00.367A before 74.00.230A. Thank you for updating FIRMWARE ALERT-MUST READ.txt in folder NA N With 74.00.230A Latest as it is now clear that going to 70.00.367A is not a required prior to installing 74.00.230A.

Hi Everybody,
I'm new to Mazda 6 and to the forum. It looks like a great community!!
My 6 is a 2019 model and it has a 59.00.544 EU N OS version.

So, unfortunately, to update I have to pass through the step #2 and install the 70.00.100A version, correct?
But when I enter the folder of that version for the EU market, the PDF file states that the firmware 70.00.100 is an intermediate step for who is on 56 or older. Is there something I'm missing or does this pdf file contradict what the TXT readme states?

Thanks!

Just READ the FIRMWARE ALERT MUST READ.txt..
I will not be updating .Pdfs at every Firmware update, frankly tired of it...the process has not changed.

This is at the end anyway, I doubt we will be seeing anymore updates after 74.xx.xxx.
As MZD it will be out of production in less than 12 months.
