Car runs rough and will die if not giving it gas, but runs fine when you go fast enough. When you unplug the MAF sensor, it will run fine, but it shifts gears really rough. Replaced the MAF and it still runs the same. Tried resetting the ECU, but can't find the right method, or it's not doing anything. Any advice
Sorry, I got a little busy. The PCV hose was just replaced. I had a friend look at it a say that he thinks it is a timing issue. He wants to look at it some more.
Found out there were gaps in the intake from the previous owner who tried to cover them in silicone. Must have ripped the silicone when I was fixing the pcv hose. Got the problem fixed.
I had this issue and replaced the gaskets 6 months later I took the intake manifold off to clean it and when I put it back on now I’m having the same issue it won’t even idle it just starts and immediately stalls just like before. I am going to say it’s the gaskets again but if I take this thing off and have to replace the rubber gaskets every time that’s kinda defeats the purpose of maintaining the car.
