Major water leak. First heavy rain this season. Discovered the driver side floor flooded from gas pedel to backseat floor. On the passenger side, the floor was wet only around the base of the roof post that is between the front door and rear door. I ruled out the windows because I could not find any evidence of water on the seats or side panels. Just the floors are soaking wet. Does anybody know if water could be leaking from the two center roof post that separate the front and rear doors? How do I dry out the car?
PS I have a 6s w/ sunroof.

I have the same problem, but only on the front passenger side directly under the floor mats. This wasn't just a little bit of water the whole floor was soaked. The water must be coming from underneath the car, because the water is only under the floormat. Also it only happens when you are driving in the rain, not just parked outside so it can't be from the windows or doors.

I would immediatly take it to a Mazda dealer. Water inside the car repeatedly is more than devistating to the interior.

There is a drain tube that runs from the roof gutter to the bottom of the car via the A pillar on both the driver and passenger side. If you remove the kick panels in the foot well on either side, you can see where the tube exits the car. It is possible these tubes are draining into the cabin. If they are infact draining into the car, you can just put them back into the proper drain hole. I would start there, and see if that is the problem.
There are also tubes running down the C pillars, but I am not sure where they exit the car.

Hope this helps

Found my water leak !

passenger side front and back soaked after rain. Just bought this 2008 6 sedan. Tracked the leak to about one inch of body caulking that was incorrectly applied at the factory. This was located behind the front pass. fender inside body frame were water runs off windshield and down wheel well to ground. Removed caulking/adhesive , cleaned and filled with 100% slicone. This spot can only be seen by removing the front fender. Hope this might help someone out. Had to remove seats and carpet in order to completely dry carpet because of padding underneath. This is also possible cause for the drivers side too!

Hi just found a problem water at the back of front seats. My back door was full of water. Had to wipe up water and take underlay out and replaced it.Took out the three door drain plugs under the door and a lot of water drained out, don't no why they have those plugs. Most cars don't have them. Now no leaks. Has any one had that problem? The boot leaks as well and i think water gets in from the rear tail lights so i put silicone around the lights and no leaks. Mazda's are common with leaking.
