2007 with 180k miles, 2.3L AT... what's the correct OEM thread size for the 6 nuts that the lower engine cover gets bolted to? We bought our car used, and the first time I changed the oil, I could tell none of the bolts that were holding the cover on were likely the correct ones.

Anyway, I just changed the front lower forward CAs, and last night I decided to finally determine the correct threaded bolts to use before putting the cover back on. I tried a M6 x 1.0 and then a 1/4-20, but neither would go beyond 2 turns into any of the 6 nuts (thanks quick oil change guys).

If I run a tap into them, I want to know the proper size tap to start with. Thanks!
