driving down the jersey turnpike with my youngest kid..
all of sudden lost throttle response..
had to pull over.. this happened three times on the way home..
it wouldnt go pass 4k rpms.. but after restart.. would be ok..
the symptoms right before the lost of throttle response is hesitation and bucking..
bad fuel pump.. tps.. vacuum issues...comes to mind.. has anyone had this experience..
apologies if this has been covered.. not much time for research these days..
this of course has to happen right after passing the warranty mark..
:(

It sounds like choked fuel. The "shut it off and restart/everything's fine" makes me think you have debris in your tank. It gets sucked up around the sock surrounding the fuel pump and finally chokes the fuel flow. When you shut it down, the debris falls to the bottom and it runs fine, until the sock gets clogged again.

See if it continues on the next tank of gas. Do we have a port to check fuel pressure at the rail? That would confirm it.

I think TB will throw a CEL ... but in this case, no code

I had the same problem, but not as bad. took it to dealer, cant find anything, so my conclusion is, bad gas...

pray this is the case :)

I would have to guess bad gas.... because most other issues would throw a CEL... but I know from experience on my last car a bad fuel pump from Ford DOES NOT throw a CEL.. it just dies :(

id tend to think a bad pump would give me difficulty upon startup right after experiencing it..
she fired right back up after pulling over and shutting down..
losin my faith on the reliability of this car.. pump failure on 54k is sad..
