i have asked this in the wheel and tire section but figure i'll ask here too since some ppl doing go out there.

apparently we are supposed to use tires with a 91 load rating, mine are 88.
the difference is that 88 are rated for 1234lbs and 91 1356lbs

thats a difference of about 120lbs * 4

is it something i REALLY need to be concerned about or is it just a margin of error the manufacturers give themselves?

even the 88 rated tires hold more than the weight of the car so i dont know if it really is such a big issue

I'll answer here too. It is only a big deal if you value your life...

PM Toyoguy - he may have extensive knowledge on this one.

I don't know off the top of my head, but what is the max gross vehicle rating for the 6? If it's less than 4936 lbs (1234 x 4) you should be good...I think...

Keep in mind that turning, braking, accel, all shift the weight of the car. While driving it is possible to shift a significant portion of the weight to one tire and if that tire can't carry that load then there's a pretty good chance it'll blow.

You may never encounter a situation that causes this, but personally I wouldn't risk it.
