2015 Mazda 6 Automatic w/ 96k miles

So about 2 weeks ago I did a trans fluid drain and fill + filter change. Once done it through a CEL, but I didn't think it was anything to worry about so I cleared it. I'll post pics. Car has been running fine but yesterday I was going up a bridge and all of a sudden it went "Limp." Nothing but rpm. I turned the car off, it didn't start right away, but got it going again. No problems since. Now I'm not mechanically inclined.. I have my dad help me with most stuff. He seems to think it's my throttle positioning sensor, as his truck does the same think from time to time. My MPG has gone to shit as well. I get around 19.5-21.5mpg city driving. I did drop my my mass air flow sensor when I did my trans fluid change, not sure how sensitive those are. Any ideas? Thanks.

My notable mods are a corksport axle back and corksport CAI w/ air box

The MAF is cheap, its either broken or not plugged in all the way. There is no "TPS" per se since its an e-throttle, not a cable actuated setup.
I just ordered a new maf sensor. Hopefully that's the cause of my poor MPG. Do you have any thoughts on my car going "Limp" mode?

Either of you have a suggestion or link to a better quality MAF for the 3rd Gen 6 you'd recommend?

Well I doubt this is "better" quality than oem, but this is what I ordered. It is significantly cheaper than oem.

So I got a new maf sensor. Granted it's not an oem... I'm still only getting 19.5 MPG city. Got anything else I should check? I do have a throttle controller, however I've been keeping it on "normal" mode since I've installed the new sensor.
