Since the North American Mazda6 is built in Flint, what parts are still MADE IN JAPAN in the car?

Honestly...I think the Hofu plant is mainly an assembly line. Which means they do the body, but many parts are made in the old empire of Japan.

I may be wrong, but that's a good guess. Many parts have extremely expensive moulds. It would be a nightmare for Mazda if they had to make moulds for two plants rather than one...especially since Mazda isn't a volume car maker in the first place.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you are right. But if they can really make the car in Japan for the 1st cycle, that will be even great!

The colored backgrounds within the headlight lenses available on the JDM cars is really hot.

Being here in the USA, how hard would it be to get those as an aftermarket part? Does anybody know how to get JDM parts?

It's not hard to find a shop in Japan that would deliver those world-wide. When the time comes, we'll help you find one.
