Anyone install an aftermarket remote starter? Any problems putting one in a Mazda6? Can you by-pass the PATS system like other cars and use a blank key with no transponder chip?
I've installed six or seven over the years and would like to put one in the '06 I just bought. I've had good luck with cheap Autocommand one button remotes.

Not I. You must be really good with wiring if you have installed that many of them. Impressive.

yea you can install them in those. you need two keys to program the bypass but you get both back depending on which bypass yo use.

I installed a remote start on mine but I cldnt find the bypass module to where you keep both keys. I did mine in 2005 so dont remember if they had that back then. I used a dei 555u I believe.

For what it is worth, Best Buy said they could do a one in my speed6.
