I just test drove a new speed 6 gt. I was aware of the clutch engagement situation. The car I dove was made in Dec. 2005. The dealer location is in a heavy traffic area , so I was limited on speed. The clutch engagement was bad-- have driven many hi pro cars for years , this was bad. The good news is the problem in the clutch is the linkage or the way the spring return is set up (I know there is a slave cylinder). I think it would be cheap and easy to it make better. The sales person didnt want me to stick my head under the dash to look. When I buy a speed 6 Ill post the fix. Just for smiles the car didnt have much gas, so the salemen put some in . I asked him, what octane did you put in -- he said 87 octane. Mazdas salespeople dont know this car. More to come.
