My keys work for everything on my MS6, trunk, exterior locks, but today they randomly wont turn the ignition, they are all the way in, and it feels like the ignition is just locked in its position. Help?
Had a reverse type thing with our M3 a few years ago and could be related to your problem. That is if problem not solved from E.M.S suggestion.
Could not turn ignition off without jiggling key, the last part of key extraction is the popout of the lock you can see.
When you jiggle steering wheel push in on key and turn. It won't rotate until lock goes in first. Perhaps ask a lock smith for recomended spray to keep from replacing ignition switch. Mazda replaced our switch under warrenty.
I found that happens sometimes when I lock the steering wheel after the car was turned off for a while. Do like EMS said and turn the wheel from side to side while trying to turn the key.
