Hello,

This is my first post and was hoping for it to not be problem related. I just purchased an '05 6i with 89k miles. The first day there were no issues. I filled up the tank, and the next moring CEL appeared - P2195, P2187 and P0455. RPMs are fluctuating as low as 400 and the car has stalled once at idle. I replaced a cracked air intake duct after looking for a vacuum leak and checked the gas cap.

I decided to take it to the dealer after reading about the PCV hose location for a vacuum test because the issue acts like a vacuum leak. I headed of to the dealership with the issue in full swing, but hoping it was bad gas I added a quarter tank of 91 octane - nothing.

After a hefty diagnostic fee, the dealership confirms no vacuum leak and the purge valve solenoid is fine, and that they lubricated the purge valve solenoid (I have never heard of such a thing). The O2 sensors are working and the fuel trims are fine. They were unable to recreate the problem.

I am open to any ideas because I am lost.

So they failed to make a diagnosis and then charged you for a diagnosis.....?
How very awesome of them.

Had to pay the man - it is ridiculous. I am going back there tomorrow so I can recreate the problem for them by simply starting the car and letting it idle. I literally bought this car seven days ago. Japanesecars and I don't mix well (my eclipse has serious electrical issues). I know it is mostly Ford but it has a Japanese emblem so it counts.

So I am thinking I am going to use higher octane, and if that yields no success (likely won't help) I am replacing the TB. I think this is the best route but am definately open to other options.
