Hello my name is alex and i have a 2003 mazda 6 3.0 and i had a quick question, i went to the dealer they said i need a new throttle body, you guys have more experience, sometimes i would get in my car turn it on and my RPM would be moving up and down really quick no higher then 3000rpm and all my indactors on my panel would come on and the car would not go higher then 30mph, and when am on the highway i have no passing gear, i would have the padel smashed to the floor and my mph and rpm would be going up but it would take decades for me to even reach 80mph. When in town it would be yanking really hard slowing down, So do you guy think that its my throttle body my CEL said so, just wanna clear it up with you guys, and also if it is my throttle body were could i get one dealer wants to charge me 545+ tax:huh:? thanks<_<

there is a TSB on the earlier model TB's...i had to replace mine a couple yrs ago ($230 since i had already spent $1380 on a sport clutch job). if you look closely at your TB, it might have the letters "AA" on it somewhere and will prob need to be replaced.

its on the actual TB, you have to look closely. i havent looked at mine in a while, but that "AA" might be followed by numbers too.

i just found out that my TB is an AA i found it this morning, so am going to have to replace it now finding one is a different story.
Being you fall under the requirements for the Mazda USA TSB it shouldn't cost you a cent!
Just bring your 6 into your local Mazda dealer(stealership), show them a printed copy of the TSB... tell them what you've been experiencing and that you fall under the said requirements of the TSB, and they'll replace it.
If that one dealership gives you grief, go to another dealership, and report the one dealership that wouldn't comply to the TSB.

Keep in mind, a TSB is a way a manufacturer says: "whoops! My bad!", and makes a recall without the world press knowing about it.

no, tsb=tough shit buddy lol! i think its used for problems found with their vehicles and when you're out of warranty, you(the customer)have to pay for it. recalls cost them money!

Negatory there amigo.
Just stick to your guns and walk your talk.
They'll give.
Especially if you threaten to throw in other factors such as media and high-end people in society (i.e. you know a local judge or high-roller).
Unfortunately I've dealt with my share of idiots in dealerships when it comes to situations like this.
