Hi there. So I'm new here and not sure if this is where to post this question.

I have an 04 Mazda 6i 2.3L and when pressing the clutch I cant put it into any gear at all. I check underneath and there is a fracture on the clutch bracket.

A shop recently changed the CMC and slave and also installed a used clutch pedal assembly and in a month the bracket cracked again.

If anyone can direct me to a thread that has info on how to replace the clutch pedal, would be much appreciated. I'm not trying to pay over $500 again.

Thanks!

I had the same issue with my clutch pedal. There are 3 bolts, two go thru to the master cylinder and there is a 3rd nut up higher. The push rod attaches to the peddle assy and floats on the master cylinder. In mine that top nut was only finger tight allowing the peddle assy to rock back and forth every time a pushed the clutch. The constant flexing actually cracked the firewall around the master cylinder with required welding.
I tried having the clutch peddle assy welded but it didn't hold and I ended up getting a new clutch peddle assy from a junk yard.
