There is a part that seems completely symmetrial but I am not sure.
Could you help me, how I should rotate it? Does it even matter?
I see a little difference.

Long since done by now I am sure but if anyone else comes by, here is what the factory service manual says for the Mk1.

I have always "just thrown it in there" in without any ill-effects.
