[1] User a breaker bar to crack the wheel lugs.
[2] Jack the car up.
[3] Place jack stands under the car
[4] Remove the wheel and place to the side.
[5] The crank sensor is located next to the passenger side axel and is secured with an 8mm bolt.
[6] Replace crank sensor and tighten back the 8mm bolt.
[7] Plug the connector back onto the crank sensor
[8] Put wheel back on car
[9] Finger tight the wheel lugs
[10] Jack up car and remove jack stands
[11] Lower the car and torque lug nuts back to spec.

Curious if the car was acting up or had the check engine light been the only reason to check codes? if it was acting up did this solve the problem or keep the codes cleared. I ask because mine is running poorly with the same 2 codes and the crank sensor was the next thing to look into. I have replaced the cam sensors, gone through wiring etc and cant figure it out.

The car died randomly twice:

The first time I was driving in the highway and the RPMs dropped. When I hit the gas there was no response. I dropped it in N, started the car and it turned over. At the time I didn't think anything of it.

The second time i was on the local road. This time it wouldn't turn over. When I checked the codes I had those two for the crank sensor.

In this specific case the crank sensor wire broke due to part of the belt tearing off.
