Help me decide...

Hey guys, I am in the process of having a "one off" front lip made for my car. My brother-in-law is very handy with bodywork, and with the winter coming its a good time to let him have it for a few days. I have been close to getting the AutoEXE front splitter...

But its too expensive and its more of a splitter than a lip....

What I am wanting for you to do is help me make a picture of what I need to show my brother-in-law, all ideas welcome.

Thanks so much. Pictures of my car are linked below.

Whats the cost on the Autoexe front splitter?
Over 500USD....

bump!
maybe I need one of these - had a racoon attack a few weeks ago which caused me to need to replace the whole front bumper and the shrouds underneath - that lip if it were strong would have just knocked that rabid moron out of my way. ;)

1650 to mazda body shop yesterday. ouch. admittedly the windshield (finally) was included in that.
Racoon attack..sorry, but hollyshit is that funny :D

Yeah, the little bastards got my wife in the spring and I bitched up a storm asking her why she did not try to avoid it (for the record - I was watching a dead possum and another investigating in my lane when the masked demon swooped in from the other side).

We are having a serious racoon population boom right now - there are all over the roads out here in the country. I am totally paranoid now. :(
I'm in the same boat as you. If I somehow manage to get some free time I'll see what I can cook up in photoshop.
So.. you want a cattleguard on your speed6? Which is what that Autoexe pos looks like to me... Adding some sort of "lip" to lower the front end a bit would looke nice.. but I hate AutoExe's stuff... Carbon-fiber is a performance mod.. used to reduce weight... Shouldn't be used for visual "appeal" IMO...

Some people think differently...

I will shop up some stuff as well... I'd like to see a custom 6 front lip.. and maybe.. if it looks good.. i can get one made as well =)

Whoo hoo (or would that be woo woo?) - cattleguard/cowcatcher FTW!!!!

:)

Actually not needing that much - racooncatcher would be nice though. Maybe I should just mount a small snowplow on the front and i would be safe from coyotes and small deer too! Sometimes it really sucks living in a rural area.
I do like the carbon grill alittle. I am looking for a different front grill anyone have ideas on where to get them from or can also post pictures of theirs or others grills that would be kool to? and is that carbon grill from autoexe? Thanks

+1

Yes - autoexe grill
what is the autoexe website?
Racoons do suck don't they....hit one with 3000 miles on it...car goes into body shop next week.

I am looking at doing something for the front lip too....Autoexe looked kind of cheap (not in dollars mind you) and would like a 1.5 to 2" spoiler (a little deeper than our dam we have now) with a splitter below that.

Looking at mocking something up with some metal I have and possibly welding it up. Not sure how far I'll get on this project, but I'll give it a shot and let you know what I come up with.
