I was wondering about starting to tune with the tunable mafci box that I have installed but Im wary about screwing something up. Has anyone messed with it yet? I talked to blackmagik and he was helpful. Just looking to get some more opinions.

Yes....it's an ATX. I was hoping for closer to 200whp. But, I think you're right...ATX is pretty lossy.

All in all the tuner had no troubles at all with the software and said it was very easy to use.

I had mine dyno tuned...but wasn't too impressed with the results. Though it did help my af ration in open loop. I still only maxed out at 192hp - with cpe headers and intake...and ambient temp at 90F.

Actually, looking at the dyno's on 6tech for an ATX, you're numbers are very good for an ATX.

04 6s atx - 178 with CPE

04 6s atx - 177 with injen/cpe-fix

03 6s atx - 166 with safcii tuning

03 6s atx - 159 with k&n & magnaflow exhaust

I'd say you're doing very well with the combo, more than most MTXs.

And I thought the dyno you used tend to dyno less than others, so it may even be better than you think.

wow...those number do make mine look good.

I was still hoping to get 200, which is entirely possible given the condition. You're right...I think I can push it up about a few percentage points.
