Hi everyone, looking for some help with a part that I’m looking for.

I’ve got an October 2007 Mazda 6 GY Wagon MZR-CD 2.0 litre Turbo Diesel.

We’ve done 120,000km and getting it serviced, which service consists of Timing Belt Replacement.

I’ve bought a Gates Timing Belt/Water Pump Kit to replace both at the same time, but have come across a problem that the thermostat case (see parts diagram) below has some corrosion in it and has had a small leak. I’m going to need to replace the part and that is where my problem comes in
It seems there is no aftermarket option and the part is no longer available ex Mazda.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I can either buy the water pump as an assay with the housing of preferably just the housing
I have circled the housing I mentioned in the attached diagram.

Timing belt and not timing chain for a diesel?

Since this is a US dominated forum, and also Canada, diesel isn't available there.

I hope someone can help you with that part you are looking for.

@ViperGRM and @Jay at are the only members here that I know can help you if ever. However, I haven't heard from for quite some time.

Sorry, just seeing this now. For some reason my email notifications have stopped working. Both petrol and diesel models use timing chains and there is no service interval. It's a lifetime part, unless it breaks obviously. @Jay at is a lot more knowledgeable than I am with this car, but I'm fairly sure I'm right here. Certainly shouldn't be a need to replace it at 120,000km unless there are signs of damage.
