Hey y’all,
I’m having trouble with my precats being clogged, and I want to gut them before they destroy my engine. Has anyone here done this before? And if so can you give a how-to?

Thanks,
Dillon

It has definitely been done before. You will have to check your local codes to know if it is legal.
Gutting your cats will result in a P0421 & P0431 code with the check engine (MIL) light illuminated.
It can be done with a section of pipe, coat hanger, drain snake (modified) and likely other ways, through the O2 sensor port, manifold ports or exit tube.
