Yeah customs/duties are a real pain.. on top of the crazy shipping prices to send it up here. What I'm planning on doing is getting a mail box in the states (since I leave somewhat close by). The extra cost of shipping alone covers the cost for the mailbox. You just have to pay the duties when you come back to Canada. Some stuff you'll have to pay but the small items I don't think they will make you pay.

So that could be an option if you live near the border.

if you lived close to the border, could you not drive over the border and have things like the lips and skirts painted and put onto the car before driving back? would that save you anything?

The exchange rate is almost the same. 100 usa=110 canada bucks.

Wouldnt it be worthwhile just to buy from Canada sellers for 6 parts.

I'm from Seattle not Calgary.

I checked the exchange rates earlier and it costs $117CAD to buy $100US. And it much more expensive to get aftermarket parts up here.

Called my dealer and they were selling speed6 springs for $375 + 14% tax (I live in BC) = $427.50CAD vs $274CAD ($234 shipped) I don't know why it's so expensive up here :irate:
