I've been talking some with Derrick of CorkSport. They have a nice silicone hose kit for the MS3, but, not for the MS6. He has said they are considering it, but, need to assess how many units they can sell. So, I'm hoping that there will be interest in such a kit. As far as I know, there have been some people to do a top radiator hose for the MS6, but, nobody has done the heater hoses. So, if Corksport does it, I think they will be the only ones on the market.

So, what would be the advantages of going with silicone hoses? Well, if nothing else, it should actually be a cost savings compared to getting new factory hoses. I priced stock heater hoses at my dealer and they wanted $160/ea, $320 for the pair! Add to that the upper and lower hoses, and it comes out to over $500!

Secondly, silicone hoses are of course known for higher temperature and durability, which is why people replace rubber hoses with silicone.

Third, possibility, Corksport might combine the multipiece stock lower hose into a single piece. They did that with the MS3 kit and I hope they do it with the MS6 kit.

I don't know how much it would cost. For point of reference the MS3 kit is $189, but he hasn't said what kind of price an MS6 kit would be if it is made. Even if the kit is more for the 6, it should be cheaper than factory hoses, and much better quality.

Derrick has said that if they do it, they will offer black, red and blue. This is an interest thread only, not a commit to buy.

My experience with silicone radiator hoses is that they are generally poorly made without enough embedded webbing to make them stiff enough to not collapse easily. Also note that silicone is SLIPPERY and to make is seat well, you must clamp the shit out of it. Ever wondered why so many people have trouble with regular screw clamps on their silicone boost hoses? Well.... Note that your radiator draws coolant INTO it when cooling as the liquid and metal contract. If your hoses collapse, this effect is diminished and can result in low fluid levels.

For me, colored silicone radiator hoses is basically (bad)bling. No thanks.....

Meh, I'd probably be down. As long as it'll make the bay look a bit nicer. Not a priority by any means but something I'd prolly buy just to get it way down the road since I've already got SU's upper hose. Throw me down for the sake of your interest list.

Well, I certainly agree with using T-bolt clams with silicone. I use T-Bolts on all my silicone. This is the first I've heard of possible collapsing of silicone radiator hoses.

I have some concerns about the longevity of the stock heater hoses, being close to the turbo. And, I'm about to put in a big turbo.

Note that the OEM heater hoses have doublers over them near the turbo for added heat protection. This is why they are "special" and rather expensive from a dealer. Do NOT use plain heater hose back there or you will be crying later.

I did take a larger 1 1/4" hose about 6" long, cut it lengthwise and slide it down around the exposed rubber sections as added insulation.
