after hanging out with the subby guys so long, something had to rub off. lol. so i picked up a set of hella supertone horns. i got them from streetsideauto.com, and used the discount code nosiacfan. and got them for like $46 shipped. thats even way cheaper then ebay! shipping was extremely fast also.

i installed them last night when i got home from work. but didnt take pics cause i didnt even get home till after 6pm, so it was already dark when i started on this project. but here's how they look now. (ignore the frozen car) lol

the install was EXTREMELY easy. i just took a piece of 1 inch tall steel flat stock i had. drilled three holes. used the center hole to mount it to the stock center bar, then each remaining hole got mounted to each horn. it took me longer to do the wiring then to get these mounted. lol

I'm assuming you bought these to make your horn super loud. I personally don't like how you can see them in the grill. It looks like your car speakers are in the grill. And that red really draws my eyes to it. Sort of ricey...

But whatever makes you happy!

BTW, how much louder is the horn? Your probably going to scare the sh*t out of everybody when you alarm goes off

its a subby thing like i said. not everyones taste. but i dont mod my car for anyone else either. lol. i just couldnt stand the civic sounding stock horn anymore. these things put out 118DB! the red was a big reason i got them. it matches the tails, and brake calipers.

the difference between these, and stock is really unbelievable. i knew they would be loud, but didnt expect this kind of difference. even when you just lock the door with the key fob and the door honks, it makes people stare. lol

alright. made a new bracket so there a bit further apart. and like it alot more this way. heres the new pic's

i like them much better spread out like that fills all the space instead of just the center. prob much better than the stock horn, i just started using my electronic air horn instead.

was looking at these also. but i cant find any before and after sound clips, only after install sound clips. and the sound clips i heard werent very impressive. of course im sure it sounds a hella (no pun intended) lot better in person, and also depending on where they are mounted....

yea. after hearing them on youtube. none really give you an idea of how these sound. i am very happy with them. arming the car when i lock it now draws stares at the store. lol
