I did the airbox mod a couple of weeks ago and yesterday my CEL light came on. I attached everthing correctly and tightly so I'm not sure what it is. I also tighten the gas cap very tight (5 clicks). I made a appointment with my dealer.

Should I reverse the airbox mod before I take it in? I don't want to be charged anything, even for the diagnostic because I did the mod.

nope. They will never know that you did the mod. The only way that they could see is if they remove the bumper (which they would have no reason to)

What if the CEL code comes back and says its something about the airbox and they see that I modified it. Wouldnt they then charge the $100 diagnostic fee?

It couldn't be the airbox causing the CEL though. I did mine at around 2500 miles, and my CEL hasn't come on yet. I don't think that's the reason personally that it came on...
