Heyo, folks... noob from Macon here. Just picked up a steel grey '04 6s MTX yesterday. It's my second car, and I saved for quite a while now. Then finally found an amazing deal on this car. My first car was a $500 1991 Dodge Colt. After the stock 4G15 (lol 93hp) engine finally gave out, and started knocking, I'd been uncertain as to whether I wanted to do a 4G63 turbo swap into it... but I waited and waited, as I saved and searched; and the 6 comes along on Craigslist for an insane price, so I snatched it up!
I'm new to Mazdas, and not completely savvy mechanically... but I plan to learn as time goes on. Any tips, or information I should know right off would be great.

I am in Macon also, on the south side around Hartley Bridge. I drive a red '04 6s Hatchback MTX. I'll keep an eye out for ya. Maybe we can meet up somewhere and I'll let you see what I've done to my 6.

Yeah man, no doubt. The CEL came on a little while after bought it. Going to get it check out tomorrow at JJSPEC or somewhere, see what code it's throwing.
Thanks for that link aswell! Edit: Someone should update that thread a bit, couple dead links. And the threads on 6crew need some picture updates... aha. They all seem to be gone.

Btw, anyone happen to know why my low beams aren't working? My brights work... just not low beams. Checked the fuses and relays, all seems to be fine. Thinking it's the bulbs maybe?
Edit: Also looking at this PCV valve failure thread, I'm a bit paranoid, and want to replace mine just in case.
I don't feel like going through the entire thread, so where would the best place be to buy a new valve, and whats the part number for the '04 6s sedan?
