So Im ordering my pod and gauges this week.
my brother is sponsored by prosport and i found some premium gauges witch look like a blue/purple color im getting them for about $25-$30each. now im wondering before i buy them if i can change my DASH lights as well to match these. and if there just LED lights or foil, has anyone done this before and how do i go about doing so if i can????? mind you im atempting this myself, i dont have a guy around that knows anything about mazdas. so please fill me in since i am new to Mazdas i'd be greatful, or ur welcome to PM me.

reverse dash light mod gives you white lettering thats the only thing i have ever heard of...i always wanted to change my dash to blue...

It's possible if you're incredibly good with a soldering iron. The dash lights are all individual tiny LEDs and mini bulbs. They need to be clipped free from the circuit boards and the new ones soldered in to replace the old ones.


It's a HUGE pain in the ass. I would strongly recommend buying red gauges to match your dash, not changing your dash to match your gauges.

well i really would like to do it...im just wanting to know if its possible.
and how many led lights of foil id need. i want to try to do it bc i know it would look awesome... dont u agree????? orange car and blue inside?
i want to attent this... anyone wanna help. lol but seriously i do want to do it the blue, the gauges look cool as well. im going to go with the

too bad your in florida lol theres a guy in jersey who does that at a good price. my friend just had his rx8 done, it looks sick. but definitely would be a pain in the ass to do yourself

I would go with those gauges since they will provide the most useful information about whats going on with your car. As far as making the inside of the car blue its a cool idea, I'm putting in super white leds that have a blue hue to them and i thought about changing the cluster color too, but I realized having a red cluster really doesnt make that much difference in terms of interior color granted it would look cool. So in end if you would like to attempt it by all means go ahead, but it is a task and a tedious one at that.

i got them and i left them orange/red they look pretty cool but they also can switch to the blue lights as well .
i got the volts gauge, oil tressure and fuel pressure. just trying to figure out how to hook up the fuel pressue gauge...

that looks pretty cool! i like it!!! im going to take pictures of the inside tonight i hope to put them up tonight as well. whats the best way to get the pics right to see the lights. im assuming with the flash off and at an angle?

wait what? lol my dads figuring out how to do it and i guess he hooked up the oil pressure wrong bc it was reading 5/6's when stopped. yes the oil was low and i fixed it now it reads 13. so hes going to the direct oil line i guess/.. well see
