Had a look online and they all look different to mine?

2012 Mazda 6 TS

anyway. having a few alarm issues and noticed a fuse without a cover, looks messed with and dont know if i should replace or leave alone. cant figure out what its for!

any ideas?

green one - 2nd up from left!

it's missing a cover. can't be good. replace the thing before something bad happens to you in the middle of nowhere.
Also, why is it so gritty? you go through a sandstorm?
no sand storm :) just bought the car and thats how it is
i cant tell if the fuse has been messed with for a reason and cant tell what what number it is. looks like a 40a maybe?

i googled them and there are low profile and standard ones. long and short. i dont much about these things.

im assuming IG key2 means ignition 2? will i need to find and replace IG1?

Yes. Low profile J-case fuse. Green is 40Amp.



The covers look to be plastic welded, so not likely it just fell off. Who knows what was done to it. Replace is the best course.
Yes, IG is ignition. I can't tell you where IG1 is, maybe in the cabin?

Update

i bought a new fuse, replaced it and car wouldt turn over.
put old fuse back and it started.

any ideas as to why this may be?
