A mazda dealer's site said this...

Clean fuel injectors improve gas mileage
and reduce emissions. In addition, this
service may help eliminate hesitation,
while improving idle and
high-speed performance.

Is this true? It's definitely a rip off cuz they are charging $120... and I'll do it myself if it's true.

Yeah, all that can be true.

However, for a car only a couple years old a $120 FI cleaning seems excessive. Just go buy a bottle of Techron or RedLine SI-1, and run it a few weeks before your next oil change. There's debate that FI cleaning can contaminate your oil, so do it just before your next change.

techron from time to time is great, don't see a need for a "service"

And it tastes great...

HEHE

From what I have seen the service they do for 120 bucks is just hooking a can of cleaner up to your fuel rail and running it... So not probably worth 120 dollars... But I could be wrong in this case.

would getting chevron with techron gas be the same thing as the techron cleaner?
