I had issue with my 2010 6i. Specifically, the front right fender, by the headlight was popped out a bit. I went to dealer, and they said they recently came out with fix for it, maybe sometime around end of July or begin of August. The redesigned the retainer clip, and it fixed my issue.

Just a heads up in case someone else has this issue.

I just had this done also. Actually I hit a opossum and popped a few of the clips inside the wheel well liner and that's when the bumper cover really stuck out by the top of the head light. (Nothing else was damage. Car took the hit like a pro and not even a scratch on the paint.) When I went to inquire at the parts counter about replacement clips, he told me about the recent TSB. They took car of it.

I have the same issue but I bought my car (used of course) with the bumper slightly popped out, the driver/left side. I went to a local auto body shop and they told me $80 bucks to fix but I don't want to pay that much. Can I buy that clip online and fix it myself? should I take it to the Mada dealership for them to fix it?

What exactly is the clip called if you know?

I had this done as well, and the new clip seems to be working great. It's called "Front Fender Retainer" Most people are having trouble with the driver's side. If you have a newer 6 it should be covered under warranty so I would take it in. Otherwise, the part is $14, and I watched the guy do it, you just have to take a nut or two off and pull back the fender a bit.

either take it in or buy the part... the fix is a few minutes.
I called my local Mazda Stealership about this, and they sent my call to their body shop. The shop told me the new retainer clips don't work for very long and they just use adhesive to make sure the fender doesn't pop out again. I'm going to a trusted body shop today and inquire about the same issue and get their thoughts.
