I guess I would ask myself what I was wanting to do with it. Personally I wouldn't have it as my only transportation. If I was looking for a project... sure. But for a reliable daily.. no.
That was my thought too

They DO exist. Wonder how she runs. Go take her for a spin!
Agreed it'd be fun as a project. A big project for deep pockets. Lol!

for what you would be saving, its almost half price, i'd call it worth it.......IF....you have a couple thousand laying around for when something does break. if your strapped for cash and taking out a loan just to get it, then no its not the car for you. if your paying cash and still have some play money left over then i wouldn't hesitate for an instant.

I have 108k now and I am already starting to consider replacing every piece of rubber on the car. Ill guarantee that car needs some very extensive, very expensive repairs. Unless you know exactly what the previous guy replaced on it, ide stay very far away. You might check the vin with the dealer...

It kinda looks like that same ms6 that was posted up a while back with 12X,XXX miles, I remember it being silver as well and I cant imagine that there are very many high mile MS6s out there.

That car looks to be in very good shape. With that many miles put on it in 4-5 years you know that it had to be highway driven and was likely not beat on. I'd say that 8.5k is a pretty good deal provided the car has been serviced regularly. I would ask Mazda to print you out a copy of all the warranty work done so we could see if this car is on DISI #2 or #3 (i kid i kid, well, kinda). Also, take a compression tester with you and test compression if you are serious about buying it.

Drive it. Makes sure there are no isues with the way it runs. Let it sit and idle for five or ten minute and make sure it doesn't start smoking out the exhaust (turbo seals). If you are not mechanicly inclined, have it looked over by someone who is. If everything checks out, go for it. Mine has well over 100k on it and runs great. I did have to put timing components in it, but that seems to be the weak link in these engines. Make sure you start it cold and don't hear any timing chain rattle. When it gets warmed up, make sure there is no knocking noise (very noticable sitting in the car) at idle.

if the mileage wasnt that high, the price wouldnt be that low. what do you expect?

at that price, id buy it. for the money you save, you could rebuild the motor, then have a brand new motor, and would still be cheaper then getting a lower mileage MS6

I agree X 1000. If you have the cash to buy this car, and still have a little left over ($1,500+), I'd go for it. If you have to take out a loan, and don't have a few thousand saved for repairs, I would not get into that situation. The last thing you want is a major repair that you can't afford, but still have a $8,500 loan you are paying on.

Price on it dropped to $7900. I would say try to haggle them down. It appears there trying to move it.
