Anyone else done the evil-m gen 2 yet?

Been too cold to do the front; got the badge done but prying out the original seems like too much work for numb fingers.

I have to say, I was impressed that the Mazda logo is actually metal superimposed over plastic. It was a bitch to do the front, since it's not a straight cut (if you don't want the top mounting hole exposed) I did a carbide disc partial cut, then stripped it, evened it out with acetone, then hit it with satin black. Not sure if I should have gone flat instead since it's not mounted yet.

thanks ernie, mine is glossy black, also the front is painted black just not cut. and since this pic was taken, the mazda 6 logo is painted as well.

I think it looks weird due to the circular recession for the emblem. It looked good on the 1st gen trunk because there was nothing to indicate that the emblem should be a complete circle.

agreed. wish it was shaped differently...but its still something small and subtle, i dont regret doing.
